He studied missiology and global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and global leadership and business at EDHEC Business School in Nice, France. He has been a part of a church planting team in North Africa. He is the US Director for Union, a ministry based in the UK training leaders for the Church throughout the world. He also serves as the Director of Executive Projects for The Lausanne Movement, creating and catalyzing initiatives to accelerate the completion of the Great Commission. Areas of interest/expertise include Reaching Muslims, Church Planting, Global Christianity, Biblical Theology, the Local Church engaging in mission, Global Partnership, Theological Education, Business as Mission, and Mobilization. Pam is currently the Co-Editor of Perspectives 5th Edition and a member of All Nations. She lived in Central Asia for ten years, where she planted churches among three people groups, two of whom are Muslim. She earned an MA and PhD in Linguistics (i.e. Bible Translation) from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has published numerous books and articles in missions. She is most well known as “The Stick Figure Lady” for her popular book “Stick Figures Save the World.” b

Lesson 3
Your Kingdom Come
Exploring God's purpose regarding evil: How God has accomplished a defeat of evil powers in order to open a season of history in which the nations can freely follow Christ. The kingdom of God as the destiny of all history. Christ's mission seeks a hindering of evil to bring about a sign of the coming peace of the kingdom of God. Our prayers contend with evil in order to bring about the transformation of society with Christ's kingdom in view.

Rob came to Christ during his sophomore year of college at the University of Tulsa, at which point his life direction and purpose was radically changed. After graduating from TU in 2009, he spent a year in India working with college students. In 2010, he returned to his alma mater and has been on staff with Student Mobilization at TU ever since. His focus is personal evangelism and discipleship on the college campus, with the goal of raising up and sending out laborers into the harvest fields of the world. b

Dr. James Eric Guthrie is the Executive Director of Beautiful Feet, a missionary mobilization, training, and sending organization focused on the unreached and neglected people groups of the world. He has traveled to more than 40 countries and ministered among all of the major religious blocks. Dr. Guthrie was involved with a church planting movement in India that saw more than one million people swept into the Kingdom over fifteen years. He has a Doctor of Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary and his dissertation was focused on missionary training. He has been married for 35 years. In his free time, Dr. Guthrie enjoys reading, collecting comic books, playing guitar, and listening to the blues. b

Brandon is the Director for Baptist Collegiate Ministries at the University of Tulsa. He spends his days mobilizing students to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations on the unique campus at TU. He is a board member of First Fruits Ministries, a Mission Giving Ministry that is dedicated to going out to make disciples among all nations and sending others out to do the same in a manner worthy of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is married to Paula and they have a son, Elijah. b

He is currently finishing his residency in Tulsa OK at In His Image Family Practice residency. He is married, and has three children. He and his family are planning on leaving the US at the end of his training and beginning a missionary training program in Southeast Asia. His family hopes that they will see a new wave of missionaries sent forth from this uniquely placed country into closed countries throughout Asia, Eurasia, and Africa. b

Bryan has served in mission mobilization for over 10 years with ministries such as The Traveling Team, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, Frontiers, Avant and more recently as missions pastor at Redeemer Church in Lubbock, TX. He and his wife are currently planting a church in Stillwater, OK. They hope to plant a church that would intentionally develop and send many church planting teams out among unreached and unengaged people groups. If there was one verse that drives what he does, it would Habakkuk 2:14 which states, "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as water cover the seas." He is married to Abbey and has four kids - Judson, Lydia, Isobel and Hazel. b

The Task Remaining

Steve serves at The Chapel on The Campus, a non-denominational church in Baton Rouge LA, as the Global and Local Outreach Director. He helps lead the church in reaching the nations, both in Baton Rouge through International Ministry, and around the world through trips and partnerships. He and His wife Amber have a passion to see the church grasp and act on her God given opportunity and responsibility to make disciples of all nations. After pursuing going to the Muslim world themselves, God has had them stay in the states to help every follower of Jesus see that their lives have been bought and their redemption has been given not just for themselves, but so Jesus will be made known through every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. In 2018, they opened Light House Coffee in Baton Rouge, a coffee shop with the mission to Serve the World Through a Baton Rouge Coffee Experience. They use this business as an opportunity to employ, love, and serve refugees from around the world, and train up global workers to use business to impact the world. b

Lesson 10
How Shall They Hear?
Culture and intercultural communication of the gospel. Communicating the gospel with relevance at the worldview level helps avoid syncretism (blending of cultural error with God?s truth) and also enables powerful movements of the gospel. Sensitive missionaries will look for ways that God has preserved or prepared people to hear the gospel, often finding redemptive analogies for God's truth.

The Spontaneous Multiplication of Churches
Look beyond institutional features of churches to understand churches as dynamic movements of Christ Himself being followed. Such a view of churches as organic, living things opens up the practicality of seeing them multiply rapidly as movements and also flourish in society bearing the fruit of social transformation. Churches as counter-communities, acting as salt and light, bringing change to their cultures. How movements multiply by connecting with entire families and larger social structures.

Brief Bio
Matt became a Christian in 1984 while in college at the University of Arkansas and has been involved with Jesus and the expansion of His kingdom ever since. He met his wife, Michelle, while doing collegiate ministry at Arkansas Tech University. Matt and Michelle married in 1991 and have three amazingly different and wonderful adult children and one grand-daughter! They spent nine years on the Tibetan Plateau in China doing ground-breaking church planting work among one of the unreached people groups there. Holistic ministry and business-as-mission continue to mark their work. After directing The Emmaus Foundation (at the National Christian Foundation) for 15 years, Matt started NET Development in 2022 to focus on business and economic development in Zambia and Madagascar. b

After serving as a missionary among the unreached Minnan he returned to America and for over 22 years served as the founder and Director of the Missionary Training Institute, Beautiful Feet Boot Camp. He has trained over 300 Career Missionaries. He has a Doctorate of Divinity from International University for Graduate Studies. John has authored the book, Passion for the Heart of God and travels widely, preaching and holding seminars, raising up activist to go to the ends of the earth. John and his wife, Jamie, also pastor a church in a “red light district” of Oklahoma City. They have five children, Jessica, Josiah, Jael, Jewel and James. b
