      Sarah and Kevin Maynard are Perspectives class alumni and trained coordinators who have been on fire for this class and the Kingdom of God as a result of the "Perspectives" experience. Sarah and Kevin are involved in local ministries and just started "The Hands and Feet of Hope Ministry" which assists impoverished families in Kenya through Christ like love, discipleship, fair trade opportunities and community development.

      Shalom Outreach, Inc., Woodbridge VA

      Dr. J. Julian Dangerfield is the Executive Director of Shalom Outreach Inc., a Christian based non-profit organization dedicated to achieving worldwide propagation of the essentials of the historic Christian faith. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Wycliffe Bible Translators and mentors pastors and leaders in several nations. He has a Bachelors degree in Business Management and has completed his Master of Arts degree in Leadership, Evangelism and Mobilization at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. He has also completed his doctoral studies at Virginia Union University with a focus on cross cultural ministry. In the United States he has organized the mission efforts of over 25 churches, ministries and not for profit organizations, which has resulted in over 54,000 people coming to Christ. Dr. Dangerfield's perspective is informed by over 29 years of ministry experience and he has traveled to over 40 countries executing strategies that lift humanity while expanding God’s Kingdom.

      Your Kingdom Come

      Exploring God's purpose regarding evil: How God has accomplished a defeat of evil powers in order to open a season of history in which the nations can freely follow Christ. The kingdom of God as the destiny of all history. Christ's mission seeks a hindering of evil to bring about a sign of the coming peace of the kingdom of God. Our prayers contend with evil in order to bring about the transformation of society with Christ's kingdom in view.

      Rebecca Kim has been involved in Perspectives on the World Christian Movement for 20 years. She has coordinated and taught classes in the Chicago and Boston area. She has a passion to see God's glory throughout all the earth. Besides mobilization, she has gone on numerous short-term trips and spent a year in India with her family. She has also had extensive involvement with internationals and immigrants/refugees. Currently, she and her husband live in South Hamilton, MA with their two wonderful daughters. She homeschools and serves as the New England Regional Director for Perspectives.

      Mandate for the Nations

      Jesus shows great strategic interest in Gentiles; wise strategic focus by initiating a global mission on a few disciples among the Hebrew people. The Great Commission and the ways of God's sending in relational power. Dealing with the ideas of pluralism (all religions the same) and universalism (all persons saved).

      In 2006, I started at the Word of Life Bible Institute (WOLBI). After finishing their two-year program, I finished my B.S. Degree in Religion from Liberty University while working various intern positions for WOLBI. I met my wife Kylie at WOLBI and we were married in 2012. After a brief stint in Michigan, we came back to WOLBI in 2014 where I served as the Dean of Men, spending most of my days discipling, counseling, teaching chapels, and organizing other aspects of student ministry. Now, I work for the International Ministries division of Word of Life as the Short Term Missions Manager where I oversee our student missions trips and internships. My wife and I now have three kids: Alivianna (5), Luke (3), and Ben (6 months). In December of 2021, I will finish my certification in Biblical Counseling from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC).

The climactic act of the book of Acts is the freeing of the gospel to be followed by Gentiles without Jewish traditions as a requirement. A foundational act of God which speaks to the situations where the gospel is hindered today. Strategic suffering and apostolic passion.

      Michael grew up in a missionary home in Vienna, Austria, the son of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) missionaries. He married Alison in 1993 and they have thirteen living children, two that God has taken home, five grandsons, and two granddaughters. Michael served with CEF for 10 years before moving his family to Argyle, NY to serve at Durkeetown Baptist Church in 2003. He ministered at Durkeetown for 14 years before taking on full-time responsibilities with a regional church-planting network, Centre Point Ministries. Michael is also a member of the leadership team of Gospel Advance. Michael enjoys gardening, riding motorcycle, and spending time with his family.

      Ken Prater has served as Pastor at the Durkeetown Baptist Church since 1990. Originally from Chicago, Ill. he sensed a call to ministry in his teen years, took a three year, non-degree bible course at Bob Jones University and then accepted a position as youth pastor in Lakeland, Fla. Ken and his wife Rhonda were married in 1980 and have two sons, Captain Jesse Prater (USAF), and Zachary, who along with his wife Katie are commissioned from Durkeetown to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where they will live and work within a church planting context. Along with his service at Durkeetown, Ken is a founding member of Gospel Advance, has served as regional coordinator for the Adirondack Pastor's Fellowship, and travels to Russia and Europe on behalf of church planters who are partnered with Durkeetown.

She loves to teach in the History section and often bring her traveling buddy, her youngest daughter Serah. Tricia and her family tried to move to Central Asia but God had other plans, so they work with their local church and Perspectives as much as possible.

Recognizing the imbalance of mission resources shapes strategic priorities. The basic minimal missiological achievement in every people group opens the way for working with God against every kind of evil so that the gospel of the kingdom is declared and displayed with clarity and power.       This speaker is the Director of an English language program which offers English instruction in Washington, DC, as well as the pastor of an international church. He has worked extensively within the Muslim community for over 20 years. His wife is also an English language instructor, has taught English in the US and overseas, and has worked broadly among Muslim women.

      How Shall They Hear?

      Culture and intercultural communication of the gospel. Communicating the gospel with relevance at the worldview level helps avoid syncretism (blending of cultural error with God?s truth) and also enables powerful movements of the gospel. Sensitive missionaries will look for ways that God has preserved or prepared people to hear the gospel, often finding redemptive analogies for God's truth.

      Building Bridges of Love

      The incarnation as a model of missionary humility. How missionaries can enter appropriate roles in order to form relationships of trust and respect to develop a sense of belonging, and thus to communicate with credibility for understanding. Explore the intricacy of identification in another culture. Explore the even greater complexity of presenting identity with integrity in a globalized, terrorized, pluralized world. Recognizing the dynamics of social structure in order to initiate growing movements of ongoing communication throughout the society.

      Dave is the husband of Andrea and father of 5 children. After 15 years of experience in Christian camp & conference center ministry primarily serving youth from both inner city and rural environments, Dave and family served for 2 and a half years in Uganda, East Africa. In establishing ministries to orphans through camp ministry with New Hope Uganda, they fell in love with their neighbors and gained a new perspective on poverty and God’s heart for marginalized and defenseless people. Upon returning to the US, Dave became the pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church in rural Fort Ann, NY. He has also served as the Program Director/Chaplain at the Open Door Mission in Glens Falls, NY and as a counselor in a year long discipleship and recovery program called Bridges to Freedom at the City Mission of Schenectady. In addition to pastoring and mission work, Dave is currently the Interim Director of Peniel Bible Conference in Luzerne, NY and drives school bus part time in Fort Ann. He received a Bachelor’s in Bible from Cairn University (formerly Philadelphia Biblical University) and also worked on a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership there. Dave plans to start working on becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the Fall of 2018.

      Don is founder (1988) and executive director of an investment advisory firm that manages approximately $140 million for individuals and institutions. He leverages his personal commitment to a better world and his corporate experience to drive others to be generous – and not just with their money. An entrepreneur for almost 3 decades, Don has successfully started and run numerous businesses. For the past 10 years Don has also served with an economic development fund which provides mezzanine level funding to businesses throughout the Arab world and Asia. He serves as both a mentor, coach and board member to numerous BAM projects in that region. He currently acts as Director of Strategic Operations for the economic development fund.

      Look beyond institutional features of churches to understand churches as dynamic movements of Christ Himself being followed. Such a view of churches as organic, living things opens up the practicality of seeing them multiply rapidly as movements and also flourish in society bearing the fruit of social transformation. Churches as counter-communities, acting as salt and light, bringing change to their cultures. How movements multiply by connecting with entire families and larger social structures.

      Pastor Joel L. Rissinger Pastor Joel is the lead pastor of Mill Pond Church, in Newington, Connecticut. Pastor Joel has been in fulltime ministry since 1992. In this capacity, he has led several congregations through major transitions prior to planting Mill Pond Church in 2007. Pastor Joel has a BA in theology from Ambassador University, as well as MAs in both religion and religious education from Liberty University. He is currently pursuing a D.Min. from the Antioch School in Ames, Iowa.
