    Todd Ahrend graduated from Northeastern State University, has a Masters from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is the founder and international Director of The Traveling Team, a national missions mobilization movement. He and his wife, Jessica, have spent almost two decades traveling both nation-wide and abroad, speaking to thousands of people about involvement in world evangelization. Todd has exposure in over sixty countries and has lived in the Middle East. He is the author of The Abrahamic Revolution and In This Generation. Todd and Jessica have six children: Camden, Brody, Axel, Noble, Quincy and Cruz!

    With a doctorate in the economics of poor countries, Coty worked with developing country governments in Africa and Asia for two decades. During the 1990's God called him out of economics into a full-time preaching and teaching ministry. The Pinckneys served as missionaries in Cameroon during 2001/02. Coty returned to the Charlotte area in 2002 to plant Desiring God Community Church. Coty also partnered with David Voth of Steele Creek Church to bring the Perspectives course back to Charlotte after a long hiatus. In addition to his pastoral work and his service with Perspectives Charlotte, Coty is involved in training and equipping pastors in India, Indonesia, and elsewhere. Coty and his wife Beth have six children and nine grandchildren, and live in Harrisburg, NC.

    Steve served in cross-cultural mission and local church leadership for over 20 years, personally experiencing both the barriers and the breakthroughs of interpersonal, workplace and community conflict. In 2010 he left vocational church ministry and followed a calling to begin working full time in the field of conflict resolution. As a Certified Christian Conciliator, Steve loves helping individuals, families, businesses and organizations resolve conflicts and build relational skills in a wide variety of cultural, socioeconomic, educational and religious settings. A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and Reformed Theological Seminary, he and his family are currently based in North Carolina.     Bill Klear has served as the Operation Christmas Child International Regional Manager for South and East Asia since 2008. Prior to coming to OCC, Bill spent several years living in China and speaks Mandarin Chinese. He holds a Masters of Divinity specializing in International Church Planting from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in North Carolina. He now uses his experience in cross cultural communication and leadership training as a tool to support his role managing Volunteer Leadership Teams, coordinating prayer, and facilitating literature development throughout East Asia. Bill’s vision is to see the OCC ministry used as a key to open the door to the gospel of Jesus Christ in communities that otherwise may not be reached. He lives in Boone, North Carolina with his wife, 8 year old son, 7 year old daughter, and 4 year old son.

    Marsha came to faith in Christ in 1979 on a hippie journey to Africa, searching for the meaning of life; three years later she began what would become a life-time career, engaging the globe for her Lord. Marsha has served in Latin America, Europe and North Africa, including the adventure of living in refugee camps in the Sahara Desert. In 2010 she joined Wycliffe Bible Translators, serving their partner Seed Company as Field Coordinator and Training Manager, and currently as Launch Coordinator for Wycliffe USA. Marsha's passion, training and mentoring new cross-cultural workers, led her to author “To Timbuktu and Beyond: A Guide to Getting Started in Missions”, published by William Carey Library, in 2009.

    Brian and Louise Hogan have served in mission since 1987. From the Navajo Tribe to Outer Mongolia, their passion has been to see Jesus glorified and lifted up among those who have never known Him. From 1993-1996 their team pioneered a church planting movement in Erdenet (AIR-DUH-NET), Mongolia that continues to grow under fully indigenous leadership to this day. Their Mongolian disciples are now training and sending out their own missionaries to other unreached people groups. The story of the work in Erdenet can be read in Brian’s book: There’s a Sheep in my Bathtub (Asteroidea Books), and in the case study article – “Distant Thunder: Mongols Follow the Khan of Khans” – on page 695 of your Perspectives Reader.
