In it, you will have your eyes opened to the heart and purpose of God, and how you can take part in His work all over the world, from the urban streets of America to the rain forest and deserts of distant lands.       Justin is passionate about doing whatever he can to see the Great Commission fulfilled. He mobilized with The Traveling Team for 5 years. He studied missiology and global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and global leadership and business at EDHEC Business School in Nice, France. He has been a part of a church planting team in North Africa. He is on staff with PIONEERS, speaking at mission classes and conference, and coaching churches in their missional engagement. However, he spends most of his time on-loan as the Director of Executive Projects for The Lausanne Movement, creating and catalyzing initiatives to accelerate the completion of the Great Commission. Areas of interest/expertise include Reaching Muslims, Church Planting, Global Christianity, Biblical Theology, Church Mission Strategy, Global Partnership, Theological Education, Business as Mission, and Mobilization. He is husband of Megan and papa of Henry and Evie.

      Your Kingdom Come

      Exploring God's purpose regarding evil: How God has accomplished a defeat of evil powers in order to open a season of history in which the nations can freely follow Christ. The kingdom of God as the destiny of all history. Christ's mission seeks a hindering of evil to bring about a sign of the coming peace of the kingdom of God. Our prayers contend with evil in order to bring about the transformation of society with Christ's kingdom in view.

      Steve Hawthorne serves as the director of WayMakers, a prayer and mission mobilization organization in Austin, Texas. He's the author of the widely used prayer guide called Seek God for the City. After co-editing the course and the book Perspectives on the World Christian Movement in 1981, he launched “Joshua Project,” a series of research expeditions among unreached peoples in world class cities. He co-authored, with Graham Kendrick, the book Prayerwalking: Praying On-Site With Insight. He has helped leaders in numerous cities unite and sustain life-giving prayer for entire communities. With humor and seasoned wisdom, he speaks with living passion for the greater glory of Jesus. He says of his ministry, “I like to commit arson of the heart.”

      Dale Smith has served as lead pastor in local churches for over 30 years along with his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters. During that time they also served as a church planters in Louisville, Kentucky and Northern Virginia. Currently he is privileged to serve Cy-Fair Christian Church as Executive Pastor. Dale is passionate about mobilizing people from all walks of life to engage people with the gospel of Christ beginning in their neighborhoods and stretching to the ends of the earth. Dale holds two graduate degrees in missions and evangelism. His passion is to lead the local church to identify and engage unreached people groups with the gospel of Christ. He has been blessed to invest his time and energy in the house church movement in East Asia. He has also been blessed to do work in Kenya, Southeast Asia and Mexico.

David grew up as a missionary kid in Panama. A graduate of Texas A&M University, David currently works for his alma mater. He also serves as a volunteer with a campus ministry. He has helped lead short-term student ministry trips and has worked with churches and church-planting ministries in several countries around the world.

      Since 2001, Blake has served local church leaders helping them become more effective in their cross-cultural engagement with the great commission through The Navigators, Pioneers, and ACMC (Advancing Churches in Missions Commitment). He currently serves among the diaspora nations within the U.S. through Nations Within, with a special interest in mobilizing and equipping churches to engage Muslim background people and other unreached peoples from Asia and north Africa.

      How Shall They Hear?

      Culture and intercultural communication of the gospel. Communicating the gospel with relevance at the worldview level helps avoid syncretism (blending of cultural error with God?s truth) and also enables powerful movements of the gospel. Sensitive missionaries will look for ways that God has preserved or prepared people to hear the gospel, often finding redemptive analogies for God's truth.

      Canadian-born, Don received Christ at a YFC rally in 1952 and later graduated from Prairie Bible Institute and Wycliffe's SIL course. From 1962-1977 Don and his late wife, Carol Joy [Soderstrom], an RN, served in Irian Jaya (now Papua, Indonesia) among the Sawi, a Stone-Age cannibal-headhunter tribe. After Don designed a Sawi alphabet, he and Carol taught literacy, planted churches, healed the sick and translated the New Testament. More than half the tribe came to Christ. Author of six books, including "Peace Child" and "Eternity in Their Hearts," Don holds an honorary doctorate from Biola University. He represents World Team at missions conferences and in churches, teaches seminars, and lectures for Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. 17 months after his late wife's passing, Don wed Carol Joyce Abraham, who now serves with him in ministry by speaking to women's groups, singing solos, mentoring, and providing hospitality.

      R is a tenured professor at University of Houston and Research Scientist at Rice University, Houston, TX. R grew up in a Christian family in old Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). He earned his undergraduate degree and a doctorate in biochemical genetics at the Baylor University- Medical Center in Dallas. His area of research lies in Cancer and Genetics. R serves Perspectives in a volunteer capacity as the Director of Online Programs and POR. In this area he has been granted a doctorate in International Development from WCIU.       Dr. Jon Hardin is the National Communications Specialist for Frontiers. He has served in full-time missions work for over 25 years. Jon regularly speaks and teaches in churches, conferences, and various training events around the world--he has taught over 25,000 Perspectives students. Jon has a passion for seeing local churches and ordinary Christians step into strategic roles in the global missions enterprise. Jon is an ordained minister, holds a PhD from the VU University in Amsterdam, and did post-graduate studies at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Prague. He is also a graduate of Denver Seminary. Jon is a CPA and prior to going into full-time ministry he worked for IBM Corporation for nine years.
