etc., require this level for candidacy, as does "Perspectives" for those wanting
to coordinate a class in the future.

Dave Shive is a 1968 graduate of the Washington Bible College, a 1972 graduate of Capital Bible Seminary with a Th.M. in New Testament Studies, and a 1994 graduate of Baltimore Hebrew University with an M.A. in Biblical Literature. Dave has spent the past 47 years in full time ministry as a pastor, Christian school director, and college professor. He currently serves with Frontier Ventures (formerly the US Center for World Mission) as a missions mobilizer for the northeast region of the United States. Dave lives in Catonsville, MD, with Kathy, his wife of 52 years. Dave and Kathy have three married children, Dan, Mike, and Becky. They are also the proud grandparents of 9 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. b

Bishop E. D. Richardson is the founder and Executive Director of InTime Outreach Inc., a community development corporation. He is the founder of EDR Ministries Inc., and currently the Author of two books and a wisdom journal. Bishop E. D. Richardson established churches in Western Kenya and Eastern Uganda in two thousand thirteen and two thousand fifteen and is conducting mission works there. He is a skillful teacher in the holy scriptures, a passionate ministry trainer, and has a desire to see the church living according to the Divine Kingdom status.
He is the founder and conductor of "Leaders and Workers Empowerment Sessions", known as L.A.W.E.S. These workshops are designed to inspire, motivate, inform, and enhance the work of ministry workers and leaders, as well as career and professional people. He studied world Christianity at the University of Edinburgh (Mth) and the history of Christianity at Westminster Theological Seminary (Thd). Kevin is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College (PA), Biblical Theological Seminary (PA), and Conservative Theological Seminary (FL). He has served as the senior pastor in 6 different churches for over 30 years. He discovered his passion for teaching in a Christian High School in Baltimore, MD, and has since taught in three other Bible Colleges and now at Faith Bible College (joining in Dec 2018).
He has served as Academic Dean at both Alaska and Indian Bible College, and now at FBC. He has served as a missionary for numerous years in Alaska and Arizona ministering to Native Alaskans and Native Americans. He currently teaches, Church History, Missions, Public Speaking, and Bible & Theology courses. Kevin is married with four (4) children and two (2) grandchildren.

Lesson 10
How Shall They Hear?
Culture and intercultural communication of the gospel. Communicating the gospel with relevance at the worldview level helps avoid syncretism (blending of cultural error with God?s truth) and also enables powerful movements of the gospel. Sensitive missionaries will look for ways that God has preserved or prepared people to hear the gospel, often finding redemptive analogies for God's truth.

Carlton is a keynote speaker and workshop presenter for numerous U.S. school districts, human resource management teams, youth development and global teacher training sessions. Carlton has been the lead for Education Missions since 2001 in Kenya, Uganda and Haiti. He serves as a board member (Leadership/Youth Development) leading the Education Project I.C.E. (Increasing Children's Education) since 2016 for Diversified Ministry 4 Cultural Exchange, Inc. leading educational development and leadership training for teachers in various impoverished villages of Kenya.
Presently, Carlton is Co-Director of Children's Ministries and Primary Enrichment Teacher for the Young Achievers Academy (4-8 year old children) at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple in Hampton, VA. During the summer months he conducts a Teen Leadership Academy for middle and high school students placing emphasis on leadership, character traits, and setting a vision for success.

Dr. J. Julian Dangerfield is the Executive Director of Shalom Outreach Inc., a Christian based non-profit organization dedicated to achieving worldwide propagation of the essentials of the historic Christian faith. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Wycliffe Bible Translators and mentors pastors and leaders in several nations. He has a Bachelors degree in Business Management and has completed his Master of Arts degree in Leadership, Evangelism and Mobilization at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. He has also completed his doctoral studies at Virginia Union University with a focus on cross cultural ministry.
In the United States he has organized the mission efforts of over 25 churches, ministries and not for profit organizations, which has resulted in over 54,000 people coming to Christ.
Dr. Dangerfield's perspective is informed by over 29 years of ministry experience and he has traveled to over 40 countries executing strategies that lift humanity while expanding God’s Kingdom. b

Pastor Heard is the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newport News, VA. Under his leadership the church founded EHouse, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit Community Outreach Organization committed to addressing the social ills that affect the community, and a Missionary Development & Foreign Mission Training Ministry which prepares those interested in serving the foreign mission field. He has also developed a Discipleship Training Program for the members of Emmanuel Baptist Church to encourage spiritual growth of the membership as well as a greater involvement in personal evangelism and community service.
Pastor Heard has served as a missionary in Cap-Haitien and Les Cayes, Haiti since January 1998. He and the Emmanuel Baptist Church family have led efforts to provide multiple wells for clean drinking water, and have built four churches and one school. Pastor Heard has served as a missionary to Kenya since July 2007 and he has worked to provide leadership & pastoral training along with other pastors and leaders from the Hampton Roads area and communities in the United States. They have taken multiple medical teams to Kenya providing quality medical care for several thousand as well as ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ. Under his leadership and on behalf of the Virginia Baptist State Convention the first full-time missionary was placed in Nairobi, Kenya in October 2013. Pastor Heard serves as the Chair of the Tidewater Peninsula Baptist Association Foreign Mission Board and Chair of the Virginia Baptist State Convention Foreign Mission Board. He is a Board member of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities

They are now back in the US reaching out to the Muslims in the Washington, DC area. James & Faith are Washington DC Area Coordinators for Crescent Project.
