Perspectives is a 15 week life and learning opportunity that will change the way you view the world. In it, you will have your eyes opened to the heart and purpose of God, and how you can take part in His work all over the world, from the urban streets of America to the rainforest and deserts of distant lands. Fifteen classes, featuring fifteen different instructors, bring unique and varied perspectives from their lives, with fresh insight and relevant information on the current lesson topic. These Christian leaders come from Christian ministries, colleges and missions organizations. They will challenge and inspire you with their personal experiences that will open your eyes to see just how big God is, and how much He desires that all might come to know Him. Whether you are single, married, a student, a homemaker, a professional or retired, Perspectives will bless and challenge your life and direction.
The Fall Class 2020 is now completed. Many thanks to all the students for their hard work. We trust you have gained a lifetime of knowledge and inspiration to reach the unreached and glorify God. Also, many thanks to our great instructors for their instruction and effort to speak to us in person. God has answered prayers and blessed our class.
- Key Reading: This level requires about 1 to 2 hours of reading per week. There are five "personal reflections" assigned during the course which would require approximately an hour each to complete.
- Certificate: This level is recommended for those who seek to gain a deeper understanding of the topics. It involves weekly review assignments, five "personal reflections," and one research project due at the end of the course. This level requires about 4 hours of work per week.
- Credit: A more in-depth study with 3 semester credit hours. More information, pricing, and course syllabus available upon request.
Members and regular attenders of Kossuth Street Baptist Church, Covenant Church, and Evangelical Covenant Church can receive a rebate for successfully completing the course. A $100.00 rebate for completing the key reading level OR a $150.00 rebate for completing the certificate or the credit level.

Andy Sieberhagen joined the pastoral staff of Heritage in June of 2009 as our Missions Pastor. Andy studied for four years at Baptist Theological College of South Africa, and he has served as a full-time student pastor and associate pastor at a Baptist church in South Africa. He spent 14 years doing church planting among muslims in Central Asia as well as working with Church planters in Africa. Andy is currently one of the lead Pastors at Heritage Christian Church .Andy brings a wealth of personal experience in overseas missions along with a big heart to reach the ends of the earth with the good news of Jesus! He and his wife, Lynn, have two beautiful daughters, Stephanie and Rebecca. b

Luke Kuepfer is a keynote speaker, workshop leader, and co-author of Becoming a Leader Worth Following. Having founded and directed a non-profit in Southeast Asia, he now serves as president of the Reverb Network, a non-profit organization committed to growing missional leaders and starting serving leadership movements around the globe. Primarily focused on the business world in North America, Luke facilitates workshops on Serving Leadership, The Art of Listening, Employee Engagement, Teamwork, and Winning at Customer Service. He has a Master's degree in Leadership and has taught a class on Foundations of Management and Leadership at Colorado Christian University. As a leadership developer and life coach, Luke helps business and non-profit leaders understand how to maximize their God-given potential to lead and serve others. His newest venture in the experience economy integrates leadership development with high-mountain trekking adventures. Your Kingdom Come
Exploring God's purpose regarding evil: How God has accomplished a defeat of evil powers in order to open a season of history in which the nations can freely follow Christ. The kingdom of God as the destiny of all history. Christ's mission seeks a hindering of evil to bring about a sign of the coming peace of the kingdom of God. Our prayers contend with evil in order to bring about the transformation of society with Christ's kingdom in view.

Stan and his wife, Valli, served full-time with World Partners since 1978. Valli passed away in November 2021 after a long battle with M.S. Their experience includes 10 years of church planting and curative medical work in Sierra Leone, West Africa among the Yalunka People; 3 years at the US Center as Administrative Director for the Adopt-a-People Clearinghouse; 3 years mobilizing churches to adopt unreached people groups; 2 years training students at Bethel College, Mishawaka, IN; 4 years coaching workers in Africa and the Middle East; and 16 years reaching out to Middle Wast refugees in Kansas City, Missouri. They moved to Maquoketa, Iowa in October 2018 and will begin a new ministry to Middle East students.
Stan will continue to serve with World Partners as a traveling evangelist among Muslims and instructor for Perspectives. b

Unleashing the Gospel
The first followers of Jesus: obedient in costly, foundational ways. The climactic act of the book of Acts is the freeing of the gospel to be followed by Gentiles without Jewish traditions as a requirement. Wes served for more than 30 years as the Lead Pastor of Community Bible Fellowship in El Paso, Illinois, a church he planted in 1990. He holds a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. Wes is an adjunct professor, having taught Homiletics as well as Church History at the New Life Bible College in Moscow, Russia. He has trained missionaries and pastors in Russia, Estonia, Tunisia and Kenya. He has been a Perspectives instructor since 2006. Wes and his wife Norma have been married for 46 years, and have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren. In his spare time, Wes enjoys camping and collecting vintage fishing lures.

Lesson 10
How Shall They Hear?
Culture and intercultural communication of the gospel. Communicating the gospel with relevance at the worldview level helps avoid syncretism (blending of cultural error with God?s truth) and also enables powerful movements of the gospel. Sensitive missionaries will look for ways that God has preserved or prepared people to hear the gospel, often finding redemptive analogies for God's truth.

Using a team-teaching approach modeled in their work throughout the developing world, Eric and Johnson are Perspectives alumni and passionate promoters.
Eric combines a background in business and entrepreneurship with a contagious passion for missions. Johnson was a long-term church planter among working classes in an Asian urban setting shaping his approach to discipleship and business as mission. They have worked individually and together with teams in over 20 nations, most with restricted access. Currently they focus on training near-culture disciple-makers to multiply workers among least-reached peoples.

Her primary focus in these organizations included leadership and business development, strategic planning, research and development, innovation and creativity. She became "known" in these organizations for her heart for the Gospel through her daily walk in these high paced and demanding environments. Her passion for Christ took her on a 30-year journey of adventure as she walked on burning coals, assisted with eye clinics in Mexico, participated in medical relief efforts in Bolivia, planted pioneer businesses in Asia and Africa, came face to face with the persecuted church in Orissa, and served widows in the rainforest of Panama.
