      Dave Shive is a 1968 graduate of the Washington Bible College, a 1972 graduate of Capital Bible Seminary with a Th.M. in New Testament Studies, and a 1994 graduate of Baltimore Hebrew University with an M.A. in Biblical Literature. Dave has spent the past 47 years in full time ministry as a pastor, Christian school director, and college professor. He currently serves with Frontier Ventures (formerly the US Center for World Mission) as a missions mobilizer for the northeast region of the United States. Dave lives in Catonsville, MD, with Kathy, his wife of 52 years. Dave and Kathy have three married children, Dan, Mike, and Becky. They are also the proud grandparents of 9 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.

      In 1978 Don graduated from Penn State with an advanced degree in engineering and went on to work for the university part time while being heavily involved with CRU. In 1980, after taking the Perspectives class, he took a position with CRU serving in Guam, then the Philippines and finally Japan. He worked in community, university and administrative ministries and for a while was an acting national director. In 1983 he returned to the U.S. to work with Frontier Ventures, first in mobilization and then as a division manager. He and his wife Anne moved to the Eastern Regional Office in 1992 where they have been involved in administration, mobilization (coordinating numerous Perspectives classes) and international outreach. Don has a Master’s degree in Theology. They have two children and six grandchildren.

      Exploring God's purpose regarding evil: How God has accomplished a defeat of evil powers in order to open a season of history in which the nations can freely follow Christ. The kingdom of God as the destiny of all history. Christ's mission seeks a hindering of evil to bring about a sign of the coming peace of the kingdom of God. Our prayers contend with evil in order to bring about the transformation of society with Christ's kingdom in view.

      Richard and Wendy Herring began their ministry in 1980 at the Clarendon Road Church in Brooklyn, NY. From 1983 to 2013, they ministered in Thailand with the Christian and Missionary Alliance sharing the Good News with Thai Buddhists, assisting Thai churches, teaching at Northeastern Bible College, teaching at Bangkok Bible College and Seminary, and serving in mission leadership. Richard currently serves with International Students Inc. (ISI) reaching out to international students at the University of Delaware. Richard has a B.S. in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego, NY, an M.Div. from the Alliance Theological Seminary, Nyack, NY and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Biblical Seminary, Columbia, SC. He and Wendy have been married for over 40 years and are richly blessed with two adult daughters, both born in Bangkok, Thailand.

Prior to pastoring CityView, Mark enjoyed a career in Civil/Environmental Engineering, served as an Associate Pastor in Northern Virginia and pastored a church in England. He is happily married to Karen and they have 4 children. His heart for missions has been fueled by participating on or leading over a dozen short-term missions teams on 4 continents. Mark also serves as an advisor to Men of Valor (menofvalor.org).

Also a National Certified Career Counselor, Doug is on the Board of Directors of Global Frontier Missions, which operates a missionary training school in Atlanta, GA. He has been a Perspectives coordinator, instructor, and Professor of Record in the DC area for 25 years.

Her focus is on mobilizing and training followers of Jesus to share Him with their Muslim friends. Her love for and appreciation of Muslims has taken her to Turkey 21 times. As a result, she has many Turkish friends both in Turkey and in the U.S. She is also known as the "fun captain" by her grandchildren and she loves spending time with them.

      Robert Gregory DuHart Sr. is a father, husband, grandfather and Elder at Cherrydale Baptist Church, where he teaches a Sunday Class and is a long-time member of the CBC Finance committee. Greg also serves on the boards of NAAMC & Pioneers. Greg has mentored immigrant families through the asylum process here in the US, worked with missionaries in Turkey, where he used his skills as a certified ESL teacher to prepare Iranian Christians for their journey west as well as preaching the Gospel in Cappadocia the land of the cave churches. In India, along with East-West Ministries, his team instructed 75-80 Pastor on the Sword Method of sermon preparation. In Indonesia, as a board member of Pioneers USA he and his wife Kimberlia prayed, listened, evaluated, and encouraged the teams bringing the Gospel to the Indonesians. Greg serves as mobilizer, coordinator, and instructor for Perspectives USA and is passionate about cross cultural ministry as a way of racially reconciling the Church in North America.

      How Shall They Hear?

      Culture and intercultural communication of the gospel. Communicating the gospel with relevance at the worldview level helps avoid syncretism (blending of cultural error with God?s truth) and also enables powerful movements of the gospel. Sensitive missionaries will look for ways that God has preserved or prepared people to hear the gospel, often finding redemptive analogies for God's truth.

      Brittany is a North Carolina native living in Washington, DC with her partner in life and ministry, Alex, a Campus Ministry Director at Howard University. Brittany serves as an Educator and Recruiter with SIM USA, an international mission organization existing to respond to need, proclaim the Gospel and equip local churches in communities where Jesus is least known. After living in South America for a season, Brittany has spent the past five years recruiting and equipping African American believers for God’s global Gospel work, training candidates of all backgrounds as they prepare for overseas service, and journeying with church and organization leaders desiring to send well. Brittany has led short-term teams to West, South and North Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and throughout Europe, serving in nearly 20 countries and she remains in awe of how God is moving among His people.

      Glenn Kauffman with his wife June served in Hong Kong for 15 years with a number of those years in Asia wide ministry with Eastern Mennonite Missions. Currently Glenn and June live in the Washington DC suburbs where Glenn continues to minister cross-culturally as a bishop in an Anabaptist network of churches and ministries in the Washington - Baltimore area and Lead Pastor of Capital Christian Fellowship, Lanham, MD an international congregation of over 20 nationalities. In 2022 Glenn became President of International Missions Association, which empowers global south Anabaptist groupings of churches to send among the least reached with the Good news of Jesus.

      Look beyond institutional features of churches to understand churches as dynamic movements of Christ Himself being followed. Such a view of churches as organic, living things opens up the practicality of seeing them multiply rapidly as movements and also flourish in society bearing the fruit of social transformation. Churches as counter-communities, acting as salt and light, bringing change to their cultures. How movements multiply by connecting with entire families and larger social structures.

      Steve lived in East Asia for 16 years with the membership of OMF since 2002. They served 13 years doing church planting among the Zhuang, the largest unreached people group in China. They also lived 3 years in Taiwan raising awareness and mobilizing Taiwanese churches for the Zhuang. In 2018 Steve was arrested and interrogated by the Chinese Security Bureau for 8 days and eventually deported. In 2019, they moved back to the US to serve as missions consultants with OMF Link Asia, where they are training and equipping churches to excel in missions. Currently, they live in Fairfax County in northern Virginia with their three daughters, Lois, Karis & Ellis.

      After ministering in a Muslim context, Joe served as missions pastor at his church in Maryland for 8 years. Since 2001, he has been co-director of unmissions.net, a ministry that helps churches more effectively engage in world missions. He is also on staff at his local church helping to lead it’s local and international outreach efforts. Joe is married and has 6 children. For obvious reasons he has no hobbies.
