“Take Perspectives – it will ruin you for the ordinary!” Floyd McClung, YWAM
Simply put, Perspectives is an effort to help the body of Christ see the world and their place in it as Jesus does.
Who Should take Perspectives? Anyone and everyone who wants to better know the heart of God and His Work in His World.
What will I learn? You will be challenged to see the world through God's eyes in four different perspectives. Biblical perspective - what the Bible tells us about the heart of our Father. Historical perspective - history of the early church. Cultural perspective - look at the least evangelized peoples of the world. Strategic perspective - what is the nature of the task remaining for the Church and what part do I play?

Is this for Eternity Church members only? No, Perspectives is an interdenominational course and will include a diversity of speakers and authors. Eternity is graciously hosting the class. Classes are quite diverse.
Is the class mostly for missionaries? It isn’t a class about missions, but a course on how every believer can be intimately woven into the story of God using His people to be a blessing to all the peoples of the earth. This is a class for the Church. The goal is to bring our individual lives into a closer alignment with the purposes of God. The goal is to join God in His story. If you are content with the status of your life, don't register. If you want more of God. More vision and direction and eternal impact to come from your life. If you want to grow and be challenged, you will love the class!
Who are the instructors? The most unique aspect of the course is the diversity and quality of our instructors. Generally, every class schedules a lineup of Biblical scholars, missionaries, pastors, professors, and mobilizers who bring a wealth of experience and passion to each lesson. Some are flown in and some are local. You just may meet a businessman who’s using his company to bless an impoverished African country, a pastor from a local church, or a missionary fresh back from Timbuktu (that actually is a city in North Africa!).

How Shall They Hear?
Culture and intercultural communication of the gospel. Communicating the gospel with relevance at the worldview level helps avoid syncretism (blending of cultural error with God?s truth) and also enables powerful movements of the gospel. Sensitive missionaries will look for ways that God has preserved or prepared people to hear the gospel, often finding redemptive analogies for God's truth.

Lesson 13
The Spontaneous Multiplication of Churches
Look beyond institutional features of churches to understand churches as dynamic movements of Christ Himself being followed. Such a view of churches as organic, living things opens up the practicality of seeing them multiply rapidly as movements and also flourish in society bearing the fruit of social transformation. Churches as counter-communities, acting as salt and light, bringing change to their cultures. How movements multiply by connecting with entire families and larger social structures.
