    After spending 10 years as a professional firefighter/EMT / Fire Marshal in Fort Worth, TX, David left the fire service for full-time vocational ministry. He currently serves as the Director of Mobilization & Operations at Sixteen:Fifteen. David has led more than a dozen trips to Central America doing evangelism, medical and orphan care, firefighter training and church planting. He has helped his church and others develop missionary training and equipping programs and he has spoken to thousands of students and adults across the US and Central America about God’s global mission with a great passion to mobilize the body of Christ to strategic engagement in God’s global purpose.

    Dr. J. Julian Dangerfield is the Executive Director of Shalom Outreach Inc., a Christian based non-profit organization dedicated to achieving worldwide propagation of the essentials of the historic Christian faith. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Wycliffe Bible Translators and mentors pastors and leaders in several nations. He has a Bachelors degree in Business Management and has completed his Master of Arts degree in Leadership, Evangelism and Mobilization at Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. He has also completed his doctoral studies at Virginia Union University with a focus on cross cultural ministry. In the United States he has organized the mission efforts of over 25 churches, ministries and not for profit organizations, which has resulted in over 54,000 people coming to Christ. Dr. Dangerfield's perspective is informed by over 29 years of ministry experience and he has traveled to over 40 countries executing strategies that lift humanity while expanding God’s Kingdom.

    Mimsie Robinson

    Bethel Gospel Assembly Missions, New York NY

    As the missions pastor of Bethel Gospel Assembly in New York City, Pastor Robinson has been involved in disciple-making efforts in India, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Venezuela, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and several islands in the West Indies. Through involvement with Evangelism Explosion International as a teacher/trainer, he has been able to help many believers become effective witnesses at home and abroad. His involvement with Perspectives includes serving as a class coordinator. In December 2019, he completed his Doctor of Missiology with the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. In 2009, Pastor Robinson helped plant Living Water Christian Center, a bilingual French and English congregation, affiliated with Bethel Gospel Assembly which serves the spiritual needs of the growing number of French-speaking West African immigrants in New York City. Pastor Robinson and his wife, Beverly Lynn, reside in the Harlem community. They have two married adult children, Michelle and David, who are both followers of Christ and two grandsons, Samuel and Matthew.

    Matthew Ellison

    Sixteen:Fifteen, Albuquerque NM

    Matthew was rescued by Jesus when he was twenty-three. Shortly after, he found himself in Ghana, West Africa on the first of what would be many ventures to the mission field. That first trip, Matthew says, "ruined me for anything less than a life lived for God's global purpose." In 1993 he began serving at Calvary of Albuquerque, in New Mexico, where he attended and graduated from their School of Ministry. He worked as the missions pastor at Calvary for nine years, developing and launching a strategic church-wide missions ministry. There he founded LifeLine Missions, an international short-term mission ministry that gave thousands across the country the opportunity to experience the mission field firsthand. Through these ministry opportunities he became extensively involved in short and long-term mission endeavors in countries around the world. Now, he devotes his time to serving local churches across the country by coaching them in strategically focused missions and helping them to discover and use their unique gifts in partnership with others to make Christ known among all nations. Matthew is the President and co-founder of Sixteen:Fifteen, and currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife, Renee, and their three children, Matthew, Caleigh, and Landin.

    Leroy R. Armstrong, Jr. is a native of Kansas City, MO and resides in the Dallas area with his wife Genena and family. Leroy holds degrees from the University of Kansas (B. S. Electrical Engineering) and Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.). He is Lead Servant of Proclaiming the Word Ministries (www.proclaimingtheword.com). Leroy has been teaching in the Perspectives Movement since 2007. Leroy has served in pastoral leadership roles in churches for 25 years. He was Director of the International Conference on Expository Preaching, sponsored annually by E. K. Bailey Ministries, Inc. for 5 years. Currently on staff with Perspectives Global, Yvonne's varied career experience includes the corporate world, local church ministry, mission ministry, and managing a non-profit organization. She has worked with the Perspectives movement for over 25 years both nationally and internationally. Her overseas field experience includes one year in Russia and travel in 40 nations. Rebekah graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in International Development and spent 7 years serving with a children's advocacy organization. Now she works for Cafe 1040, a mobilization organization with a mission to lead this emerging generation to tell the story of Jesus where it has never been told. She loves the local church and helps lead her church's missions team with her husband. She often mentors young women and college students as they seek clarity in their involvement in the Great Commission. She has studied in Italy and has been on short-term missions to Mexico, central China, and southeast Asia. She loves Perspectives and is grateful to be able to share the course with others!

    Justin is passionate about doing whatever he can to see the Great Commission fulfilled. He mobilized with The Traveling Team for 5 years. He studied missiology and global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and global leadership and business at EDHEC Business School in Nice, France. He has been a part of a church planting team in North Africa. He is the US Director for Union, a ministry based in the UK training leaders for the Church throughout the world. He also serves as the Director of Executive Projects for The Lausanne Movement, creating and catalyzing initiatives to accelerate the completion of the Great Commission. Areas of interest/expertise include Reaching Muslims, Church Planting, Global Christianity, Biblical Theology, the Local Church engaging in mission, Global Partnership, Theological Education, Business as Mission, and Mobilization.     Jimmy Dorrell

    Texas Christian Community Development Network, Waco TX

    Jimmy & Janet Dorrell moved into an low-income neighborhood in Waco, TX, in 1978, and founded and is now president emeritus of Mission Waco, a large urban Christian community development organization with 16 programs and 80 staff, with work among the addicted, unemployed, homeless, sick, illiterate and unchurched. In 1992, The Dorrells planted Church Under the Bridge in 1992 as an outdoor church meeting under the Interstate 35 and S. 4th Street underpass (currently meeting at the Magnolia Silos until Summer 2022). As pastor, the church now has 275 very diverse attendees. Dorrell also founded the statewide Texas Christian Community Development Network. As an adjunct professor at Truett Theological Seminary and Baylor, he teaches Christian community development, missions, and community engagement classes. Dorrell has written four books, including "Commonwealth: Transformation through Christian Community Development;" "Dead Church Walking," "Trolls and Truth" and "Plunge2Poverty." The couple, married 43 years, also continue to work in Haiti, India, and MxCity. They have four children (one deceased) and 10 grandchildren.

    Brian and Louise Hogan have served in mission since 1987. From the Navajo Tribe to Outer Mongolia, their passion has been to see Jesus glorified and lifted up among those who have never known Him. From 1993-1996 their team pioneered a church planting movement in Erdenet (AIR-DUH-NET), Mongolia that continues to grow under fully indigenous leadership to this day. Their Mongolian disciples are now training and sending out their own missionaries to other unreached people groups. The story of the work in Erdenet can be read in Brian’s book: There’s a Sheep in my Bathtub (Asteroidea Books), and in the case study article – “Distant Thunder: Mongols Follow the Khan of Khans” – on page 695 of your Perspectives Reader.
